Week eight is to be a dessert. I was craving chocolate so I decide to make triple chocolate brownie cookies.
(I used the photo from the Pillsbury website because the photo's I took were awful)
INGREDIENTS
1 (13.5-oz.) pkg. Pillsbury® Fudge Supreme Walnut Premium Brownie Mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
1 cup chocolate-flavored crisp rice cereal (coco-krispies)
1 (6-oz.) pkg. (1 cup) semisweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, combine brownie mix with nuts, butter and egg; stir with spoon until well blended. Add cereal, chocolate chips and oats; mix well. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
2. Bake at 350°F. for 9 to 12 minutes or until edges are set. (Centers will be soft.) Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets. Cool 10 minutes or until completely cooled. Store in tightly covered container.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft) Add 2 tablespoons flour to dry brownie mix. Bake as directed above.
These cookies were very chocolaty and definitely fulfilled my chocolate craving. They were soft yet crunchy from the Coco-Krispies. I decided to use brownie mix that didn't have any nuts in it. I'm sure if you are a nutty kind of person the original version would have great too. I will be making these again, they were very good and very easy.
uhm, those look delish.
the apple i'm eating for breakfast tastes a lot worse after looking at the picture of those cookies.
